Meine's record is less about trophies than about duration. He has sung on every Scorpions album since 1969, a span of close to six decades, and he wrote the lyrics to "Wind of Change," a song that outgrew rock radio and became a piece of Cold War history. Hit Parader's 2006 ranking of 22nd among heavy metal's greatest vocalists put a number on what fans already knew. What sets him apart is stamina: a melodic hard rock voice that has held up into his late seventies, through a 60th anniversary run and a 2026 packed with both celebration and medical setbacks.
