Kit Wilson

Samuel Stoker is an English professional wrestler who performs for WWE on the SmackDown brand under the ring name Kit Wilson. He rose to prominence as one half of the tag team Pretty Deadly alongside Elton Prince, becoming the first team in history to hold both the NXT Tag Team Championship and the NXT UK Tag Team Championship simultaneously. His career has evolved from a charming cowboy persona to a more aggressive singles competitor in recent years.

As of 2026, Wilson continues to be a key figure in the WWE main roster hierarchy. He recently formed a dominant alliance with The Miz, marking a significant shift in his character direction. Fans recognize him for his technical wrestling ability and his capacity to adapt his persona to fit evolving storylines within the company. [edit]

Born Samuel Stoker in London, England, he developed an interest in wrestling during his early years before pursuing formal training. Unlike many peers who attended specialized academies immediately, Stoker honed his craft on the United Kingdom independent circuit where he performed under various ring names. This period allowed him to refine his in-ring psychology and build a reputation for reliability among promoters.

His breakthrough came when WWE scouts noticed his potential during these independent shows. He was invited to join the NXT UK developmental system, where he began working alongside future stars. Before achieving global recognition, he spent time refining the chemistry that would later define his partnership with Elton Prince. The duo adopted a cowboy aesthetic that stood out in a landscape often dominated by high-flying or brawling styles.

Their early work involved building a narrative around their bond as brothers-in-arms. They traveled extensively across the UK, performing in small venues and gaining a loyal following through their unique blend of comedy and serious grappling. This grassroots success laid the groundwork for their eventual call-up to the main roster, proving that their specific brand of storytelling could resonate with a wider audience. [edit]

Kit Wilson's career trajectory shifted dramatically upon forming Pretty Deadly with Elton Prince. The team quickly ascended the ranks of NXT UK, capturing the inaugural NXT UK Tag Team Championship in 2020. Their reign was marked by long, technical matches that showcased their versatility and deep understanding of the tag team format.

In 2021, they achieved a historic milestone by winning the NXT Tag Team Championship as well, becoming the first team ever to hold both titles at the same time. This double-crown status cemented their legacy as one of the most successful teams in NXT history. Following this peak, the team faced challenges including injuries and eventual personnel changes that led to Elton Prince's departure from the company.

Transitioning to a singles role proved difficult initially, but Wilson adapted his character significantly in 2026. He shed the gentle cowboy image for a darker, more intense persona described as "Tender Emotion" or simply a hardened villain. This rebrand aligned him with The Miz, creating a formidable tag team that competed against top contenders like Shinsuke Nakamura and Kyoki. Recent events in late 2026 include high-profile matches and backstage segments that solidified his position as a main roster staple. [edit]

Kit Wilson presents a versatile public image that has evolved from a soft-spoken cowboy to a more aggressive antagonist. His signature style involves a rugged aesthetic, though his 2026 rebrand introduced a darker, edgier tone designed to create conflict and draw new fans. Media coverage often highlights his ability to transition between comedy and serious drama, making him a reliable asset for creative teams.

Social media presence is a key component of his image, with platforms like X and Instagram used to promote his content and engage with supporters. He frequently discusses themes of masculinity and emotional expression, adding depth to his character work. This thoughtful approach to persona development distinguishes him from performers who rely solely on physical attributes. [edit]

iFANN has not yet collected fame data for Kit Wilson, so no global ranking is currently available. The lack of a published placement suggests that while he is a recognized name in wrestling circles, his mainstream fame does not yet reach the threshold captured by the engine's current metrics.

The fandom surrounding Wilson is deeply tied to his tenure with Pretty Deadly. Supporters often refer to the duo collectively rather than using a specific name for his individual fanbase. Active communities on Reddit and Twitter rally behind his singles run, expressing enthusiasm for his character shifts and criticizing creative decisions that limit his screen time. Notable fan campaigns have pushed for his continued success post-tag team split, demonstrating a strong emotional investment in his journey. [edit]

Despite his cowboy gimmick, Kit Wilson hails from London, England, making his American character a deliberate acting choice rather than a reflection of his background. His social media handle @KitWilson_PD remains active even after the dissolution of Pretty Deadly, signaling the enduring impact of that era on his personal brand. In interviews, he has discussed the specific themes behind his new theme song, which plays a crucial role in defining his "TOXIC!" persona.

Wilson has been vocal about internal WWE dynamics, notably commenting on backstage tensions regarding Danhausen's placement at the Elimination Chamber event. His ability to navigate these complex narratives while maintaining a strong fan connection highlights his versatility as a performer. Fans often cite his breakout moments as catalysts for renewed interest in his work, particularly during the transition from tag team specialist to singles star. [edit]

Public information regarding Kit Wilson's family life is extremely scarce. He maintains a strict boundary between his professional and private life, rarely discussing his parents or siblings in interviews. Public records regarding Kit Wilson's romantic life are virtually non-existent. He keeps his personal affairs strictly private, offering no details about dating history, engagements, or marriages in interviews or on social media. As of late 2026, there is no public record of a partner. Wilson appears to be single and fiercely protective of his privacy, choosing to let his work speak for itself. This discretion stands in contrast to many peers who share their personal lives extensively, allowing him to maintain a clear separation between his public persona and private identity. [edit]

As of 2026, research by the iFANN Editorial Team puts Kit Wilson's fortune at around $750,000. This estimate reflects his status as a long-time WWE veteran and former double-champion earning a mid-to-upper-tier contract. His wealth is primarily derived from his base salary, appearance fees, and merchandise sales generated during his highly successful run with Pretty Deadly.

Unlike superstars with massive endorsement deals, Wilson's financial portfolio relies heavily on his performance within the company. While specific real estate holdings or outside business ventures remain undocumented, his consistent presence on the main roster ensures a steady income stream. The shift to a singles star role in 2026 may further influence his earnings through increased match opportunities and potential pay raises associated with main event pushes. [edit]

Kit Wilson's accolades are centered on his championship achievements within WWE. He holds the distinction of being the first team to win both the NXT Tag Team Championship and the NXT UK Tag Team Championship simultaneously. These titles represent the pinnacle of success in the company's tag team division and highlight his technical prowess and in-ring chemistry with Elton Prince. [edit]
