Kim Hye-soo stands as one of the most decorated actresses in South Korean history. Her record-breaking win for Best Leading Actress at the Blue Dragon Film Awards in 1993 remains a legendary milestone, as she was the youngest person ever to receive the honor at that time. She is the only actress to win the Blue Dragon Film Award for Best Actress three times. Her ability to seamlessly transition from teen idol to serious dramatic actress has earned her the respect of peers and critics alike. In 2026, her mentorship of younger actors like Jo Kwon further cemented her legacy as a pillar of the industry.
