Kim Do-hoon

Kim Do-hoon is a South Korean actor known for his roles in the hit Disney+ series Moving, the webtoon-based drama Today's Webtoon, and the thriller Dark Hole. Since his debut, he has built a reputation for taking on diverse characters, from high school students to young professionals, and has become a familiar face on both television and streaming platforms.

Currently signed with PEAK J Entertainment, Kim has been steadily expanding his portfolio. He has a strong social media presence, with over a million followers on Instagram, where he shares behind-the-scenes moments and connects with fans. His recent appearance on the variety show High Valley, Top Hero alongside Cha Seung-won and Lim Young-woong has further boosted his popularity.

Fans appreciate his down-to-earth personality and his commitment to his craft. Whether he's playing a troubled teen or a rookie webtoon editor, Kim brings a sincerity that resonates. As of 2026, he continues to be one of the promising young actors in the Korean entertainment industry. [edit]

Kim Do-hoon was born on September 15, 1998, in South Korea. Growing up, he showed an early interest in the arts, which led him to attend Kaywon High School of Arts, a school known for nurturing creative talent. It was there that he honed his acting skills and decided to pursue a career in entertainment.

After graduating, he enrolled at Chung-Ang University, one of the country's top institutions for performing arts. During his university years, he began auditioning for roles and landed his first acting gigs. His early work included minor roles in web series and short films, which helped him gain experience and build a foundation for his career.

His first notable appearance came in 2021 with the OCN drama Dark Hole, a sci-fi thriller that gave him exposure to a wider audience. This role marked the beginning of his journey in the competitive world of Korean drama, setting the stage for his later breakthrough. [edit]

Kim Do-hoon's breakthrough came in 2023 with the Disney+ hit Moving, a superhero drama based on the webtoon by Kang Full. He played a high school student with superpowers, a role that showcased his ability to handle both action and emotional depth. The series was a massive success, both domestically and internationally, and brought him significant recognition.

That same year, he starred in Today's Webtoon, a SBS drama about the webtoon industry, where he played a rookie editor. This role demonstrated his versatility and helped him connect with a different audience. His performance was praised for its charm and relatability.

In 2026, Kim expanded his horizons by appearing on the variety show High Valley, Top Hero alongside veteran actor Cha Seung-won and singer Lim Young-woong. The show, which features celebrities in a mountain village setting, allowed him to show his fun-loving side. He also received a coffee truck gift from DAY6 member Young K, a gesture that highlighted his growing friendships within the industry.

Kim has also been involved in some controversy. During a variety show performance, he made remarks targeting fellow actor Jung Joon-won, sparking debate among fans and media. The incident was widely discussed, but Kim has not publicly addressed it further, and it has not derailed his career. [edit]

Kim Do-hoon is perceived as a friendly and approachable actor, a stark contrast to the intense characters he often plays. His Instagram feed is a mix of professional photoshoots and casual, behind-the-scenes moments, giving fans a glimpse into his daily life.

He has a youthful charm that appeals to a wide demographic, from teenagers to older viewers. His participation in variety shows like High Valley, Top Hero has endeared him to audiences, showing his playful and competitive side.

Fans admire his dedication to his craft and his willingness to take on challenging roles. He is often praised for his natural acting style and his ability to convey complex emotions. As he continues to grow as an artist, his public image remains positive and relatable. [edit]

Kim Do-hoon commands a dedicated following that grows with every new role, yet his audience remains distinctively fluid rather than regimented. Unlike the highly organized armies surrounding K-pop idols or veteran stars, his supporters are primarily driven by his rapid ascent through hit series like Moving and the recent buzz surrounding his casting in Dochabi. There is no codified name for this collective, reflecting a fanbase still in its organic growth phase rather than a structured institution. While he maintains a strong digital footprint with over a million followers on Instagram, these fans have not yet launched formalized campaigns such as subway advertisements or birthday billboards. The community's interaction is defined more by shared anticipation for his projects than by ritualistic support structures. His relationship with peers like DAY6 member Young K adds a layer of industry credibility that resonates with fans, but it does not translate into a specific fandom identity. In August 2026, the actor navigated a public controversy regarding physical contact with an idol, clarifying the situation directly to his audience. This moment highlighted a fanbase willing to engage critically with their star rather than blindly defending him. Despite his rising profile, Kim Do-hoon has not yet achieved the global saturation required for a formal ranking placement. iFANN's Global Fame Engine evaluated his status in August 2026 and determined that he currently holds no position within the published Global Top 1,000 or any Top-100 scope list. He remains an unranked talent in the current edition of the world's fame metrics.[edit]

Kim Do-hoon's Instagram handle is @7imdohoon, where he shares candid updates with over a million followers. A close friendship with DAY6 member Young K once resulted in the singer sending a coffee truck to support Kim during a project. He is the youngest of three individuals sharing his name, distinguishing himself from the football manager born in 1970 and the composer born in 1973. Fans often spot his habit of reading webtoons in his spare time, a practice that deeply informed his preparation for Today's Webtoon. Despite his increasing visibility, he keeps his family life strictly private. In August 2026, the entertainment world took note when he was cast alongside Lee Joon-gi and Jeon Jong-seo in the upcoming Netflix period action film Dochabi. This announcement marked a significant leap in his career trajectory, positioning him among top-tier casts. Earlier that same month, the actor addressed allegations concerning inappropriate physical contact with an aespa member, issuing a personal statement to clarify the incident. These events underscore a career moving at a breakneck pace, balancing high-profile roles with the complexities of sudden fame.[edit]

Kim Do-hoon keeps his family life largely out of the spotlight. He has not publicly shared details about his parents or siblings, and there are no known reports about them. This privacy is something he maintains to protect his loved ones from the pressures of the entertainment industry.

While he is close to his family, he rarely mentions them in interviews. His focus remains on his career and his growing circle of friends in the industry, such as Young K from DAY6, who sent him a coffee truck as a show of support. [edit]

Kim Do-hoon has kept his romantic life private, and there are no confirmed public relationships as of 2026. He has not been linked to any co-stars or public figures, and he prefers to keep his personal life separate from his professional persona.

Fans have speculated about his chemistry with co-stars, but nothing has been substantiated. As of 2026, Kim Do-hoon is reportedly single, focusing on his career and personal growth. [edit]

iFANN currently estimates Kim Do-hoon's net worth at $1 Million as of 2026. This valuation reflects his steady rise in the South Korean entertainment industry, where income streams are diversifying beyond traditional acting fees. His earnings are bolstered by lucrative brand endorsements and sponsored social media posts, leveraging his massive Instagram presence to connect with young consumers. Recent appearances on variety shows like High Valley, Top Hero have further diversified his revenue channels. While he has not yet reached the stratospheric earnings of Korea's most established veterans, his portfolio is expanding rapidly. With leading roles in major productions like Moving and the anticipated Dochabi on the horizon, his financial standing is poised for significant growth. The combination of streaming hits, variety exposure, and commercial partnerships places him on a clear upward economic trajectory.[edit]
