Kevin Reddington

Kevin Reddington, born February 9, 1951, built a formidable reputation as a criminal defense attorney in Brockton, Massachusetts. After earning his law degree from Suffolk University Law School in 1975, he carved out a niche handling some of the region's most contentious cases. His career took a significant turn in 1981 when he represented Therese Rodgers. The jury acquitted her of killing her abusive partner after Reddington successfully argued that battered woman syndrome caused temporary insanity, marking one of the first times this legal strategy secured freedom for a defendant in Massachusetts. Reddington's expertise extends to representing figures entangled with organized crime and mass violence. He defended Catherine Greig, the longtime companion of fugitive gangster Whitey Bulger, against charges of harboring a criminal. Later, he led the defense for Michael Morgan McDermott, who faced murder convictions for shooting seven coworkers at Edgewater Technology.
