Kevin Moskowitz

Kevin Moskowitz grew up with the dream of becoming a famous superhero. He attended Godolkin University where he joined the Gamma Epsilon Delta fraternity and eventually became its president for seven years. There he adopted the superhero persona known as The Deep. His powers come from Compound V, granting him the ability to live underwater and connect with marine life.

At some point he changed his name to Kevin Moskowitz while living in Sandusky, Ohio. This name stuck in official records for years until later revelations showed his birth name as Kevin Kohler. He joined Vought International's elite team The Seven and quickly became known more for his publicity stunts and merchandise than for actual heroics. [edit]

The Deep comes across as deeply insecure and desperate for approval from his teammates. He craves respect yet often acts in selfish and harmful ways. His need for validation leads him to make poor choices that he later tries to justify or atone for.

He shows a mix of cowardice and occasional bursts of sincerity. Teammates frequently mock him with nicknames like Fish Dick and Gill Tits. Despite his superpowers he often seems pathetic and out of his depth in social situations within The Seven. The Deep starts as a full member of The Seven when Starlight joins the team. He pressures her into a sexual act shortly after her arrival which becomes a defining moment for both characters. This leads to his temporary exile from the group and a strange period of isolation in Sandusky where he forms odd bonds with marine animals including a dolphin and later an octopus named Ambrosius.

He bounces between attempts at redemption and falling back into sycophantic behavior. He joins the Church of the Collective in Season 3 seeking purpose. By Season 4 he has become Homelander's eager yes-man. His story continues into the spin-off Gen V where he returns to Godolkin University and his past identity as Kevin Kohler comes to light.
