Kenzi Lynn Richardson is an American actress and singer who rose to prominence in 2025 as the lead voice and live-action star of Disney's Vampirina: Teenage Vampire. Born in Colorado, she transitioned from a local child performer to a national Disney talent within a single year. Her breakthrough role required her to perform eight original songs for the series, including tracks like "S-L-A-Y" and "My Moment." She also made a guest appearance on the ABC drama The Rookie earlier that same year.

As of 2026, the 14-year-old continues to build her career with high-profile projects. Recent casting announcements confirmed her role as the lead mermaid in the upcoming television reboot of Aquamarine, where she reunites with actor Jake McDorman. Her work has drawn comparisons to classic Disney storytelling, earning praise for bringing a fresh yet nostalgic energy to the brand. [edit]

Kenzi Lynn Richardson spent her early childhood in Colorado, where she developed a strong foundation in the performing arts before moving to Hollywood. While specific details about her elementary schooling remain private, sources indicate she began training in singing, songwriting, dancing, and modeling at a young age. Her first step into the public eye came in 2024 when she released her debut single titled "Cruel Friend," which served as a precursor to her larger musical contributions in later years.

In January 2025, Richardson relocated from Colorado to Los Angeles, California, specifically to pursue professional acting opportunities. This move marked the end of her life as a local student and the beginning of her industry career. Prior to this relocation, she had no major credits on film or television. Her casting as the titular character Vampirina "Vee" Hauntley later that year represented a pivotal moment, launching her from obscurity into the spotlight almost overnight. [edit]

Richardson's career trajectory accelerated rapidly starting in 2025. After releasing her debut single "Cruel Friend" the previous year, she made her television debut with a guest spot on The Rookie in early 2025. Later that year, she secured the lead role in Disney's Vampirina: Teenage Vampire, a live-action and animated hybrid project. The role demanded versatility as she voiced the character while also performing eight original songs featured throughout the series, such as "Fangfoot Stomp" and "Supernatural." Her success extended beyond the screen as she became a fixture on promotional tours and talk shows. In October 2025, she appeared on GMA3 and The View to discuss themes of girl power and magic. In August 2026, reports confirmed her selection as the lead half-mermaid in the Aquamarine TV reboot. This project marks a reunion with original star Jake McDorman, who returns as the character Raymond. These roles have established her as a key figure in revitalizing classic properties for a new generation of viewers. [edit]
