Kengan Ashura

Corporate rivalries in this world settle their disputes through underground fighting matches known as the Kengan Association. Tokita Ohma, a mysterious fighter with a dark past involving his father, enters the Kengan Annihilation Tournament to test his skills against representatives from major companies. The competition pits martial artists against each other in high-stakes battles where the goal is simple: defeat your opponent and secure dominance for your employer.

Yabako Sandrovich wrote the series while Daromeon handled the illustrations, launching the story on Shogakukan's Ura Sunday and MangaONE apps in April 2012. They finished the initial run in August 2018 after compiling 27 volumes plus an extra one. Unlike many action manga that rely on superhuman powers, this work grounds its violence in realistic mixed martial arts techniques, often showing actual grappling moves and strategic combat mechanics.

The narrative blends sports manga tropes with dark fantasy elements to create intense tension. Even minor characters receive detailed backstories that make every match feel personal rather than just a display of power. This approach earned the series critical acclaim and comparisons to staples like Baki the Grappler and Hajime no Ippo.
