Keigo Higashino's achievements place him among Japan's most celebrated mystery writers. He is one of the few authors to have won both the Edogawa Rampo Prize and the Naoki Prize, and his novel The Devotion of Suspect X was the first to simultaneously top the Mystery ga Sugoi! ranking, win the Honkaku Mystery Award, and take the Naoki Prize. His works have sold tens of millions of copies globally, with The Miracles of the Namiya General Store alone surpassing 10 million sales. He served as president of the Mystery Writers of Japan, and his international recognition includes nominations for the Barry and Edgar Awards.
