Katrin Sass

Sass's acclaim rests on a single role that traveled further than most German films of its decade. Her nomination for the European Film Award in 2003 put her in the company of the continent's best actresses, and her German Film Award recognized the same performance at home. For a performer who spent the 1990s largely out of view, that recognition was a remarkable second act.
