Schmeichel's career is defined by historic achievements. He was the first goalkeeper to captain Leicester City to an FA Cup win in 2021. He holds a Guinness World Record for the most consecutive Premier League appearances by a goalkeeper (144). His 120 caps for Denmark rank him among the most-capped Danish players. He was named Danish Football Player of the Year twice, a rare honour for a goalkeeper.
