Karl

Karl worked as a mercenary and right hand man to Hans Gruber. He joined the team that stormed Nakatomi Plaza on Christmas Eve 1988 under the cover of a political terrorist act. Their real goal involved stealing 640 million dollars in bearer bonds from the Nakatomi Corporation vault.

Early in the takeover Karl lost his younger brother Tony when John McClane killed him during a rooftop confrontation. This event turned Karl from a calm professional into a man consumed by revenge. He spent the rest of the night hunting McClane through the building with growing fury. [edit]
