Kalu Putik

Kalu Putik, known online as @kaluputics, is an Ethiopian teenage creator who makes high-fashion outfits from discarded materials (Instagram). Plastic bottles, grain sacks, and worn-out shoes become sculptural looks in short videos that spread worldwide in 2026. Madame Figaro profiled the then-14-year-old in June 2026 (Madame Figaro).[edit]

From the Mekelle area of Tigray, Ethiopia. Self-taught, working with scrap materials before ever posting online. His exact birth date is not published; 2026 profiles describe him as 14 or 15 (Madame Figaro, Space4K TV). A 2018 start date and family-background details claimed elsewhere could not be verified.
