Julio Salinas enjoyed a trophy-laden career that few strikers of his generation could match. He was a key figure in Athletic Bilbao's back-to-back league triumphs in the mid-1980s, and then became an integral part of Johan Cruyff's Barcelona Dream Team, winning four consecutive La Liga titles and the European Cup in 1992. His goal-scoring record at Barcelona, 60 goals in 145 league appearances, speaks to his consistency and quality. For Spain, he earned 56 caps and played in three World Cups, a testament to his longevity at the international level.
