Joseph Aoun

Joseph Aoun's most significant achievement is his election as the 14th president of Lebanon in 2025, ending a two-year political crisis. As commander of the Lebanese Armed Forces, he led successful operations against the Islamic State and Jabhat al-Nusra, earning national respect. His military career spanned over four decades, and he is the fifth Lebanese president with a military background.
