Jorginho's 2021 was historic: he became the first Italian to win the UEFA Men's Player of the Year award, and his third-place Ballon d'Or finish was the highest for an Italian since Fabio Cannavaro in 2006. That year, he lifted both the Champions League and the European Championship, a rare double. He was also named to the UEFA Champions League Squad of the Season and the UEFA Euro Team of the Tournament. His 182 passes in a single Premier League match set a Guinness World Record. He remains one of the most decorated midfielders of his era.
