Jonathan Moffett's career is defined by his role as the rhythmic backbone for two of pop's biggest icons, Michael Jackson and Madonna, across some of the most ambitious tours in music history. His sustained excellence earned him inductions into the Modern Drummer Hall of Fame (2013), Drum! Magazine Hall of Fame (2016), and the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame (2018). Rolling Stone ranked him #63 on its 2023 list of the 100 Greatest Drummers of All Time, and Drum! Magazine named him the #1 Funk Drummer of All Time in 2019. He also received an honorary doctorate from Loyola University New Orleans in 2022.
