Johnny Cecotto's career is defined by rare versatility. He is one of only a handful of racers to win world championships on both motorcycles and in cars, joining legends like John Surtees and Mike Hailwood. His 1975 350cc title made him the youngest world champion in motorcycle racing at the time, a record that stood for years. His 1976 Daytona 200 win, achieved despite physical pain and mechanical issues, is still celebrated as one of the grittiest performances in the race's history. In touring cars, his 1992 Nürburgring 24-hour victory with BMW solidified his reputation as an endurance specialist.
