John Thune

Thune's career is marked by historic political achievements. In 2004, he became the first candidate in nearly 50 years to unseat a sitting Senate majority leader. He has won four Senate elections, each by comfortable margins. His steady climb through Senate leadership positions over two decades culminated in becoming Majority Leader in 2025, a testament to his skill as a vote-counter and party strategist.
