Jerry West is one of only three players to be named to the NBA 35th, 50th, and 75th Anniversary All-Time Teams. He was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame twice, as a player in 1980 and as a contributor in 2024. His silhouette remains the NBA logo, an enduring symbol of the sport. He also won an Olympic gold medal in 1960 and had his jersey number 44 retired by both the Los Angeles Lakers and West Virginia University.
