McCurdy's memoir I'm Glad My Mom Died hit #1 on the New York Times bestseller list and stayed there for months, making her one of the few former child stars to successfully pivot to literary success. Her one-woman show of the same name sold out at Lyric Hyperion Theatre. She was named a Starlight Children's Foundation StarPower Ambassador for her charity work. Her short film Kenny was selected for the Oscar-Qualifying Florida Film Festival.

AwardsMcCurdy won four Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards for her role as Sam Puckett on iCarly, including Favorite TV Sidekick in 2011. She also won two Young Artist Awards: Best Performance in a TV Movie for The Last Day of Summer (2008) and Best Performance in a TV Series for iCarly (2009). In Brazil, she won MeusPremios Nick for Funniest Character in 2011.
