Griswold's achievements in election administration are notable for their practical impact. She is the first Democrat elected Colorado Secretary of State since 1958, breaking a six-decade Republican hold on the office. Her implementation of automatic voter registration and expansion of ballot drop boxes contributed to Colorado's consistently high voter turnout, including a record 3.2 million votes in 2020. She was the first secretary of state to issue rules requiring social media platforms to label false election content, a pioneering move in the fight against disinformation. Her election as president of the National Association of Secretaries of State in 2023 reflects her standing among peers.
