Jeezy is credited as a pioneer of trap music, alongside T.I. and Gucci Mane. His first three major-label albums all debuted at number one or two on the Billboard 200, a rare feat. He has multiple platinum singles and albums, and his label CTE World helped launch the careers of YG and Freddie Gibbs. His influence on Southern hip-hop is widely recognized.

AwardsJeezy has won multiple BET Hip Hop Awards, including Best Mixtape for Trap or Die (2006) and Best Collaboration for Put On (2009). He also won Ozone Awards and Southern Entertainment Awards. His Grammy nomination for Put On remains a career highlight.
