Jay-Jay Okocha's career is marked by historic achievements. He was named among the FIFA 100, Pelé's list of the 125 greatest living footballers in 2004. He is consistently ranked among the top five African players of all time by major outlets. His dribbling artistry earned him a place in the Nigerian Football Hall of Fame and the national honour of Member of the Order of the Niger. He remains a symbol of African football excellence.

AwardsOkocha won the Africa Cup of Nations with Nigeria in 2000 and a bronze medal in 2004. He was named African Footballer of the Year in 2004 and BBC African Footballer of the Year in 2003.
