Jay Idzes

Jay Idzes has quickly established himself as a cornerstone of Indonesian football, earning the highest individual honor in the nation with the PSSI Player of the Year award in 2026. His achievement is particularly notable given his young age and the rapid pace of his rise from the Dutch youth system to becoming the captain of a national team. By successfully transitioning from the Eredivisie to Serie A and leading his country, he has set a new benchmark for Indonesian defenders abroad. His selection as captain at such a young age highlights the trust placed in his leadership abilities by the national federation.
