Javier Hernández is Mexico's all-time leading scorer with 52 goals, a record that places him among the nation's greatest sports figures. He was the first Mexican to play for Manchester United, where he won two Premier League titles and was named Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year in 2011. He won the CONCACAF Player of the Year award twice, a rare honor for a Mexican striker. His goal against Atlético Madrid in the 2015 Champions League quarter-final is one of the most iconic moments in Real Madrid's recent history. In 2023, he was inducted into the Mexican Sports Hall of Fame.
