    Jarvis Cocker's career is marked by a string of prestigious UK music awards and a lasting cultural impact. Pulp's Different Class won the Mercury Music Prize in 1996, one of the highest honors in British music. The album also earned three Brit Awards, including Best British Album. Cocker's songwriting was recognized with an Ivor Novello Award for "Common People."
