Janus Henderson Group plc, operating as Janus Henderson Investors, is a global asset manager formed in 2017 through a merger of equals between Janus Capital Group and Henderson Group. The firm traces its origins to two separate lineages: Henderson Global Investors, founded in 1934 to manage the estate of London financier Alexander Henderson, and Janus Capital, created in 1969 by Thomas H. Bailey in Denver, Colorado, with the Janus Fund launching in 1970. The merger combined Janus's strong U.S. equity heritage with Henderson's international reach, creating a firm with approximately $379 billion in assets under management as of 2024.

Headquartered in the City of London and with a principal executive office in Denver, the firm employs over 2,300 people across 25 cities worldwide, including Sydney, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Singapore. Janus Henderson offers actively managed mutual funds, exchange-traded funds, separately managed accounts, institutional mandates, closed-end funds, investment trusts, and retirement solutions across four core asset classes: equities, fixed income, multi-asset, and alternatives. The firm serves institutional investors, financial advisers, and high-net-worth clients in more than 30 countries.

Publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker JHG, Janus Henderson reported revenue of US$2.47 billion and net income of US$409 million for fiscal year 2024. The company's market capitalization stood at approximately $8.00 billion. In 2025, Trian Fund Management and General Catalyst Management announced a definitive agreement to acquire the firm, with the transaction expected to close in 2026. Trian Partners already owned about 20% of the company. Janus Henderson's global brand rank in the Broadridge Fund Brand 50 survey improved to 16 in 2024, up seven spots from the prior year. [edit]
