Jaime Maussan

Maussan's formal honors come from his first career, not his second. Three National Journalism Awards from the Journalists Club of Mexico place him among the more decorated reporters of his generation in Mexican broadcast media, a record that sits oddly beside the hoax allegations that now define his public reputation. No Hall of Fame induction, honorary degree or national honor has been documented for his ufology work, and no major publication has ranked him on a greatest-of-all-time list. His standing rests instead on reach: more than 300 television segments, a Netflix series, and a congressional appearance that put his claims in front of a global audience.
