Antoine LeCoultre opened his workshop in the Swiss village of Le Sentier in 1833, launching a legacy that would redefine precision timekeeping. The brand operates as a true manufacture, designing and crafting its own movements from scratch rather than sourcing them externally. This vertical integration allowed Jaeger-LeCoultre to accumulate over 400 patents and develop more than 1,400 calibers throughout its nearly two-century history.

In 2000, the Richemont Group acquired the company, yet the house maintains its operational independence within the conglomerate. Its headquarters remain in Le Sentier, where the Manufacture serves as the central hub for design, manufacturing, and assembly. Recent developments highlight the brand's commitment to innovation; in mid-2026, they launched the Reverso Tribute Enamel "Turner Series", featuring miniature paintings inspired by Venetian architecture, and unveiled their most ambitious tourbillon in 193 years of existence.
