Jacob Geller

Jacob Geller stands out as a pioneering voice in video game criticism, blending academic rigor with accessible digital content. His 2019 video essay on violence in games earned a spot on Polygon's prestigious list of best YouTube videos, a rare honor for a creator outside traditional media. By publishing How a Game Lives with HarperCollins, he became one of the few YouTubers to successfully transition into traditional publishing with a non-fiction collection. His work has consistently pushed the boundaries of what video game criticism can achieve, influencing a generation of creators to take a more serious approach to their craft.
