JackBoys 2 arrived on July 13, 2025, as the second collaborative compilation from Travis Scott's Cactus Jack label, released under exclusive license to Epic Records. The project follows the 2019 original JACKBOYS and expands the roster's reach with a 17-track standard edition. Apple Music described it as "its predecessor on steroids," and the guest list supports that: Playboi Carti, Future, SahBabii, Tyla, Vybz Kartel, GloRilla, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, and Kodak Black all appear, while Don Toliver and Sheck Wes carry significant weight alongside Scott. Bun B's skits stitch the chaos together, and bonus editions tack on cuts with Luxury Tax 2 and Yeat.

The commercial debut was emphatic. JackBoys 2 opened at number one on the Billboard 200 with 232,000 album-equivalent units, 160,000 of which were pure sales, extending Scott's streak of chart-topping entries. Six singles supported the rollout, including "ILMB" with Sheck Wes, "2000 Excursion" featuring Scott, Wes, and Toliver, and "SHYNE" with GloRilla. GloRilla's wobbly, wiggly chorus on "SHYNE" became a viral talking point, and in May 2026 she shared studio footage of herself recording the hook. The official video for "PBT" featuring Tyla and Vybz Kartel dropped on December 18, 2025, with critics calling it "luxe and sultry."

Reception was sharply divided. Anthony Fantano handed out a 2/10, while Pitchfork dismissed the album as "little more than proof of life" and "a branding exercise starring Scott as the reluctant ringmaster." Rolling Stone took a more measured stance, framing it as a showcase for the label's talent. The release date also stirred controversy: it landed the same day as Clipse's album, prompting Pusha T and Malice to accuse Scott of "cheating" by crashing their window. Pusha T later shrugged, "You cheat. We cheat. Everybody cheats." Despite the mixed reviews, the project kept Cactus Jack in the conversation and solidified Scott's continued commercial dominance.
