Jack Bruce is widely celebrated as one of the most influential bassists in rock history. Rolling Stone ranked him fifth on their 2020 list of the 50 Greatest Bassists of All Time, and Bass Player magazine placed him first on their 2002 list of the 100 Greatest Bassists. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with Cream in 1993 and received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2006. His pioneering lead-bass style and powerful vocals continue to inspire musicians across genres.
