Jacaerys Velaryon

Jacaerys Velaryon, often called Jace, is a central figure in the political and military conflict known as the Dance of the Dragons. Created by George R.R. Martin, he first appeared in the novella The Princess and the Queen and later in Fire & Blood. On HBO's House of the Dragon, he is played by Harry Collett, with Leo Hart portraying him as a child. Jace is the eldest son of Rhaenyra Targaryen, the designated heir to the Iron Throne. Publicly, he and his brothers Lucerys and Joffrey are the children of Rhaenyra's husband Laenor Velaryon, but their biological father is Ser Harwin Strong. As a Targaryen, Jace bonds with the dragon Vermax.
