I've Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level
Kisetsu Morita
Overview
Azusa Aizawa, a twenty-seven-year-old office worker, dies from overwork and is reincarnated as an immortal witch in a fantasy world. Seeking a peaceful life, she decides to spend her days killing slimes for pocket money, unaware that centuries of this mundane task will push her to level 99. The story, a gentle comedy isekai, follows the now-powerful but laid-back Azusa as she adopts a growing family of quirky characters, including a dragon girl, a demon, and a ghost, all while trying to avoid the fame and responsibility that her immense strength attracts.
Kisetsu Morita's light novel series, illustrated by Benio, began as a web serial on Shōsetsuka ni Narō in 2016. SB Creative published the first print volume in January 2017, and the series has since expanded to thirty volumes, concluding on January 7, 2026. Yen Press brought the story to English readers in April 2018. The franchise has also spawned a manga adaptation by Yūsuke Shiba, which ran for nineteen volumes and ended in August 2026, and an anime series, with the first season airing in 2021 and a second in 2025. The series stands as a defining example of the 'slow life' subgenre within isekai, where the protagonist's overpowered status is played for laughs rather than epic quests.
