Provedel's record is built on one extraordinary statistical season rather than a trophy cabinet. His 21 clean sheets in 2022–23 set the benchmark for the 20-team Serie A era, and his stoppage-time header against Atlético Madrid made him only the second goalkeeper ever to score in the Champions League. Those two facts define him for fans: a shot-stopper who set a modern league record and a goalkeeper who did the one thing goalkeepers are not supposed to do on the biggest stage.
