It Feels So Good

British singer Sonique released this house anthem in late 1998 as the lead single from her debut album Hear My Cry. The track initially peaked at number 24 on the UK Singles Chart, but its trajectory shifted dramatically two years later. American radio stations, especially those in Florida, began spinning the record repeatedly throughout 1999, sparking a grassroots resurgence that carried the song back into the global spotlight.

By May 2000, the single had climbed to number one on the UK chart, holding the top spot for three consecutive weeks and finishing as the third best-selling single of the year in Britain. In the United States, it reached number eight on the Billboard Hot 100 while topping the Hot Dance Club Play chart. The production team behind the hit included Steve Anderson and Dave Seaman, who crafted a driving four-on-the-floor beat paired with a catchy synthesizer riff and Sonique's soulful vocals. [edit]
