Ibrahim al-Jaafari

Al-Jaafari's achievements are rooted in his decades of service to Iraq. He played a key role in the post-invasion political transition, first as Vice President and then as Prime Minister during a critical period. His later tenure as Foreign Minister helped maintain Iraq's international relations. His longevity in public service and his steadfast opposition to Saddam's regime are his most notable distinctions.
