I Never Liked You

Future dropped his ninth studio record, I Never Liked You, on April 29, 2022, through Freebandz and Epic Records. The project spans 15 tracks that blend trap beats with moody melodies, exploring themes of betrayal and emotional detachment. Heavy hitters like Southside, TM88, and Wheezy shaped the sound, while guest spots from Drake, Kanye West, Gunna, Young Thug, Tems, EST Gee, and Kodak Black added texture to the mix. A deluxe edition arrived just three days later on May 2, bringing Babyface Ray, 42 Dugg, Lil Baby, Lil Durk, and Young Scooter into the fold. That final appearance by Scooter would mark his last recorded feature before his passing in March 2025.

The album launched with five singles: "Worst Day", "Wait for U", "Keep It Burnin", "712PM ", and "Love You Better". Critics praised the cohesive atmosphere, and fans responded immediately. I Never Liked You debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 with 222,000 album-equivalent units in its opening week. This milestone marked Future's eighth chart-topper and 15th top-10 entry.
