I Became a Legend after My 10 Year-Long Last Stand

Koko wa Ore ni Makasete Saki ni Ike to Itte kara 10-nen ga Tattara Densetsu ni Natteita, known in English as I Became a Legend after My 10 Year-Long Last Stand, follows a soldier who stays behind while his comrades leave on a mission. Written by Ezogingitune with art by DeeCHA, this light novel series started its life on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō platform in June 2018 before moving to SB Creative's GA Novel imprint in February 2019. The story spans roughly 200 pages across its initial volumes and blends military fantasy with time-skip humor as the protagonist waits alone for a decade. Readers watch him survive harsh conditions and unexpected threats while the world outside changes dramatically without him. A manga adaptation by Chako Abeno appeared on Square Enix's Manga Up! site in August 2019, bringing the visual style to new fans. An anime television series produced by Gekkou is set to premiere in July 2026, expanding the reach of this tale about loyalty and endurance.[edit]
