Hussein Saeed's achievements stand out even among football's elite goalscorers. His 78 international goals for Iraq remain a national record and place him twelfth on the all-time global list. He is one of only a handful of players to have been top scorer in two separate Arabian Gulf Cup tournaments. His club career with Al-Talaba produced three league titles and three individual scoring crowns. Alongside Ahmed Radhi, he is celebrated as the finest Iraqi player of the 20th century, a status that has only grown with time.
