Hulk Hogan's career is defined by his unprecedented mainstream success. He headlined the first eight WrestleManias, a feat no other performer has matched. He was a six-time WWF/WWE World Heavyweight Champion and a six-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion. His 1987 match against Andre the Giant at WrestleMania III drew a then-record indoor attendance of 93,173 fans. Hogan was the first wrestler to appear on the cover of Sports Illustrated and was named by Pro Wrestling Illustrated as the Wrestler of the Year five times. His 1996 heel turn in WCW revitalized the industry and is considered one of the most pivotal moments in wrestling history.
