Stoichkov's trophy case includes the Ballon d'Or, European Golden Shoe, and World Cup Golden Boot. He is one of the few players to win both the European Cup and the Ballon d'Or. His 1994 World Cup performance is legendary: he scored six goals, including a hat-trick against Mexico and the winner against Germany. He remains Bulgaria's all-time leading scorer with 37 goals in 83 appearances.
