The Hot Boys may not have a trophy case full of awards, but their impact on Southern hip-hop is undeniable. They were the first Cash Money group to land an album in the top 5 of the Billboard 200, and Guerrilla Warfare set a first-week sales record for the label at the time. More importantly, they launched the careers of Lil Wayne and Juvenile, who would go on to become global superstars. The group's raw energy and bounce-infused sound laid the groundwork for the rise of Southern rap in the mainstream.
