Hiroyuki Imaishi has directed some of the most celebrated anime of the past two decades. His series Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is frequently ranked among the greatest anime of all time, and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners swept the 2023 Crunchyroll Anime Awards. He holds a Guinness World Record for the largest robot depicted in anime (Super Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann).
