Hiroshi Tsuchida

Tsuchida's record is not measured in trophies, and pretending otherwise would misrepresent him. What he built instead was a career of remarkable breadth: a Super Sentai hero, a pivotal anime father in Attack on Titan, and a fixture of Japanese dubbing and game localization, all running in parallel for three decades. Few performers of his generation appeared in as many separate fan cultures at once. The tributes after his death came from anime outlets, gaming sites and tokusatsu communities simultaneously, which is its own kind of distinction.
