Hidetora Hanada

Hidetora Hanada holds a rare distinction in the world of sports. Winning the All-Japan Amateur Sumo Championship as an Amateur Yokozuna is a monumental achievement in itself, yet he chose to pivot to American football. This decision set him apart as a trailblazer who refused the guaranteed path of professional sumo to pursue a more uncertain future in the West. His ability to secure a full scholarship at Colorado State and subsequently sign with WWE demonstrates his unique value as an athlete.
