Here for It All

Mariah Carey stepped into the studio to craft her sixteenth album, Here for It All, which arrived on September 26, 2025. Released through her personal Mariah imprint in partnership with Gamma, the project weaves contemporary R&B and pop together with distinct flavors of funk, disco, soul, and gospel. The fourteen-track standard edition explores themes of love, vulnerability, and faith while showcasing a renewed sense of personal strength. Carey handled the majority of the songwriting and production duties herself, creating a sonic landscape that honors her vocal legacy while embracing modern textures.

The record features high-profile collaborations that span genres and generations. Anderson .Paak, Kehlani, and Shenseea appear alongside the legendary gospel group The Clark Sisters on the track "Jesus I Do." This spiritual closer anchors the album's deeper emotional core. Early singles like "Type Dangerous" made history by marking Carey's fiftieth entry on the US Billboard Hot 100. Subsequent releases such as "Sugar Sweet" and "Play This Song" kept the momentum going throughout late 2025 and into 2026.

Critical reception highlighted Carey's unmatched vocal prowess and the authenticity of her lyrics. Publications like Soul Stereo and Revolt praised standout moments while noting the ambitious genre-blending approach. Commercially, the album secured spots in the top twenty across the United States, Australia, Scotland, Switzerland, and Wallonia. It also reached the top forty in Germany, Poland, Croatia, Spain, and the United Kingdom. Carey supported the release with an extensive promotional campaign including festival dates and stops on her international tour, The Celebration of Mimi. [edit]
