Henry Mancini's trophy case is extraordinary. He won four Academy Awards from 18 nominations, including Best Original Score for Breakfast at Tiffany's, Days of Wine and Roses, and Victor Victoria. His 20 Grammy Awards include the first-ever Album of the Year for a soundtrack (Peter Gunn) and both Record and Song of the Year for Moon River. He also received a posthumous Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 1995. Additionally, he won a Golden Globe and an Emmy for The Thorn Birds. His music has been inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame multiple times.
