Jiwoo, for instance, underwent an extensive six-year training period at SM Entertainment, having been scouted in sixth grade while shopping at a convenience store. A former ballerina, she impressed her auditors by performing the South Korean national anthem. Ian was scouted through Instagram DMs after SM Entertainment discovered her photos online, and she had already gained some exposure by appearing in the company's 30th anniversary video, "The Future." Carmen holds the distinction of being the first Indonesian member of an SM Entertainment girl group. The eight-member lineup also includes Yuha, Stella (who was raised in Canada), Juun, A-na, and Ye-on, each bringing unique skills to the group. The name "Hearts2Hearts" (also known as H2H) itself is symbolic, combining "Hearts" with the emoticon "S2" to represent connecting with global fans through a mysterious musical world filled with various emotions and heartfelt messages.

On the very same day, SM Entertainment officially announced the impending release of their debut single album, The Chase, set for February 24, 2025. This announcement was accompanied by a detailed schedule, confirming that the group would hold a debut showcase at the Yes24 Music Hall in Seoul on the album's release date. True to schedule, Hearts2Hearts officially debuted as a South Korean girl group on February 24, 2025, marking their entry into the music industry with The Chase.
